| #1 | Hey guys/gals......
Here is the site for the program that I use. I taught myself how to play the accordion using this program. I'll see if I can post a video on how to use it.
http://www.slowgold.com
Here are some basic instruction on how to use Slowgold.
1 Select the track you want to play.

2. Press START NEW LOOP to create a loop, for example the "intro".

3. When the intro finishes, press COMPLETE CURRENT LOOP AND CLOSE WINDOW.

4. Press TRANSFORM to transform the loop.

5. On the "transformations" page you can slow down or speed up the by moving the slider or by changing the percent number.

You can also change the pitch the same way in the 1/2 STEPS or CENTS area. For example If you have a Sol box and the song is played with a Fa box, you would put a number 2 in the 1/2 STEPS area (two half step above Fa is equal to Sol). If you want to lower the tone then you would use a negative number (i.e. -2).

6. When the loop has played all the way thru for the first time, the WAVE VIEW button will turn blue. Press it. This is to zoom in into the wave file.

7. Maximize it (make it big). In this page, you can select part of the loop you want to look at more closely.

For example, if you didn't quite get a certain note or set of notes and you want them to repeat. Put your mouse pointer where that section starts and you LEFT CLICK that area. RIGHT CLICK the area where it ends and its only going to play that note or set of notes you selected.

If you you want to get even closer, hit ZOOM at the top of the wave page and select TO SELECTION. It's going to zoom in on that are and you can reselect a smaller area (LEFT CLICK, RIGHT CLICK).

If you want to zoom out so you can continue to the next section or you want it to play the whole loop, hit ZOOM again and select OUT FULL. Then select the extremes (far left and far right) of the loop so that it will play the entire loop again.

If you're going to use an mp3, on the main page hit FILE, CONVERT MP3 TO WAVE FILE Press FIND and look for the mp3 file you want to play. Press the bottom FIND button so you can put it in any folder you want and give it a name. Hit CONVERT to convert it to wave. Then, follow the instructions above from step 2 and forward.

You can make several loops of a song, for example the intro, adorno number 1, adorno number 2, etc....when done making loops, select the one you want and transform it.
This program can do a lot more but these are the basics to get you started.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me. jgalla77@msn.com Hope this helps

I just bought this program and it is very good. I haven't tried using the wave but I'll try it today. I have over 10 years of experience playing the accordion but I'm lazy when it comes to sitting down and learning new songs. This program works really good and motivates you to learn. Thanks for your advise jgalla77. __________________ Echele Ganas Primo!!! |
